With a low student to teacher ratio, approximately 1:18-24, students receive individualized and personal instruction. Small class size allows our students to participate in several field trips and hands-on experiences.
Participating in lessons with the grade ahead challenges students students who demonstrate advanced knowledge.
Our students have the opportunity to participate in established fine arts programs including orchestra and band; all school musicals and class plays.
Beginning in third grade, children are introduced to basic keyboarding on classroom computers.
All teachers hold Nebraska teaching certificates and attend continuing education seminars.
Parental and Community Involvement
Parents and our community are an integral part of St. Agnes School. Volunteers assist in the classroom, in the lunchroom, for student health screenings, and organize events.
An active Home and School Association coordinates room parents, May Day baskets, teacher appreciation events, and many other activities.
Students participate in weekly Mass every Wednesday morning at 8:15 AM. Every other week the children are involved in the planning and actively lead the liturgy.
St. Agnes students prepare for the Sacrament of First Communion and First Reconciliation during their daily religion classes.
The Parish priest is involved in the school Masses, religion classes and school activities as well as the administration of the school.
